     2012: The International Amateur Theatre Festival “Zvezden prah” offers diverse program which is worth to be seen. The event is realized thanks to the financial support of the America for Bulgaria Foundation, Karo Trading Ltd, Municipality of Knezha, M-tel, Vivacom, International Asset Bank, with the assistance of the Bulgarian Association of Amateur Theaters /BAAT/ and the International Association of Amateur Theaters /AITA/IATA/.This year the festival began in the city center with a carnival show accompanied with the musicians from jazz formation Diksibend and participants of the festival. The opening ceremony was very interesting. It was supported by dance ensemble of Neshka Robeva, demonstration of unique fire-ritual, fire show and spectacular lighting effects. It was evening of great excitement and entertainment for all. Fourteen theater groups from Bulgaria and theater ensembles from Italy, the Czech Republic, Latvia and Ukraine took part in the festival program. The festival had a very strong response and represented a big variety of concerts and performances. The participation of Mikhail Iosifov, Plamen Petrov, Boris Taslev and Hristo Yotzov with a unique jazz concert with original music was very special. Accent of the festival program was the presence of Plamen Petrov and his performance with classical guitar at the Cathedral "St Joseph" in Bardarski Geran. After the success of the author's performance of Rumen Somov "I must be crazy" in the previous edition of the festival in 2012, the author presented his first film with the same name. The young artist Radoslav Neychev presented innovative artistic technique with picturesque three-dimensional drawings in the alleys of the city park. Especially for the fifth edition of the festival “Zvezden prah” Anna Miteva and George Panaiotov (choreographers) presented their own performance "Cathexis" to the audience. The performance was filled with specific artistic style.

 

 

 

 

 

 

                                                                                           

    2008:“Zvezden prah” started with five amateur formations from Knezha and the region. The festival / It was only for community center formations.

 

 

 

     2009: The festival offered a valuable and diverse program of performances with a large number of participants. Visiting groups also took part in the festival.

     2010: We expanded the boundaries of the festival’s format by adding a new event – street show, including random people in the atmosphere of the festival. Ten amateur groups, participating in the festival program presented their performances. The program included fire show, dance show, an exhibition of national art paintings and etc. The festival had a very strong response.

     2011: : “Zvezden prah” became a National Cultural Forum with traditional and avant-garde performances of seventeen amateur groups from the country. The program of the festival included jazz concert, body art, carnival, street performance and nonverbal spectacle-pantomime in non-traditional environment. The festival was supported by the America for Bulgaria Foundation.
